What is the history behind your business?

1^st Rate Lending has a rich history beginning with a local multi generation resident of the area, William (Bill) Thayse. In the mid to late 90’s, Bill began 1^st Rate with two core values in mind, Character and Integrity. With those ingredients as the foundation he knew it would just take a sprinkle of hard work and a dash of enthusiasm. Bill had spent most of his life in sales and managerial roles and when he finally entered the mortgage world just prior to starting his own company; it didn’t take long to realize he was finally home. He could do both of these things while rewardingly serving the community of Green Bay and surrounding areas. A few years ago he was able to pass the torch along to his sons Jordan and Justin Thayse. Although Bill may never fully fade off into the sunset, he takes great pride in the company he built and watching the tradition of character, integrity, hard work, and enthusiasm continue.

What makes your site different from the competitors?

When we started creating this website we sat down and thought, “What do we really want to do with this site?” After a while we realized, the goal was not only to attract visitors, but to make the mortgage experience a great user friendly experience. Most people want to get the facts they need, become educated in their decision, and work with a professional that ultimately helps them achieve their financing goals. We’ve catered our site to just that; keeping it painless and enjoyable. How long has your company been in Business?

We are very proud to say that 1^st Rate Lending much like its parent company Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. has been in business for over 10 years. We both made it through the challenges of not just our industry, but the entire economy both locally and globally. In a shrinking world of layoffs and hour cuts, there has been many a victim. By doing what we do best, servicing our clients and staying true to our core values, we not only survived, but thrived as a company! It has been a great run; we truly enjoy every client that comes through our door and care deeply about their satisfaction.  There is no greater moment than when we shake hands in celebration of a successful closing and see that smile on a customer’s face. That is why we are here and will continue to be for many years to come.
